Arachne is Cleaning

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

Now that Arachne has spruced up her web, she will begin to manually review all sites included in WebWeaver.  Sites that return 404 errors, are invalid or are suspended will be deleted.  Sites that are being updated will be moved to Hold status and reviewed after 30 days.  Please be sure that your listing information is up to date.

Featured Sites that do not display a reciprocal link will be removed from the Featured Site rotation.

Link partners that display a reciprocal link on a page other than their index page will have their banner moved to the Arachne’s Friends rotation which displays on WebWeaver index page near the search bar.  This is because our policy regarding the requirements to become a Featured Site have changed, however we wanted to grandfather in sites that had supported us under the old policy.

All policy changes can be viewed in the FAQ on WebWeaver.

WebWeaver Overhauled

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

Finally, finally, finally….whew! WebWeaver’s major upgrade is complete, uploaded and tested.

This wasn’t just a shallow make-over of the look of the site, but a total overhaul of the search algorithm, addition of new features, new user panel and policy revamping.

We finally had to drawn the line and leave a few planned additions for later otherwise we never would have said, “ok, it’s done”.  Those features will be added over the next few weeks and months.

We hope you enjoy the new look and feel and find the new features useful.
